A contradictory issue

i came across this quotation..

it is better to go for someone who loves you, rather than someone who you love.

how many of you agree to it? i believe most of you guys.

but the thing is, it says its better to go for someone who loves you.. but isnt the someone going for the person he/she loves?

get my meaning?if that's the case, who should we go for?

in some ways i dont agree to that quotation. i'd rather go for someone whom i love and loves me too. of cos, it takes time to build mutual love. then again, nothing comes for free.
