Little Big Planet

Had been very very lazy to blog these days.. perhaps I had lost passion of blogging? Or perhaps the hectic work life (especially as a web designer and I face internet more than my hours of sleeping) that I gradually don't blog that much.

Bought Little Big Planet with Jiexiang last Saturday and played the game on that night! The game is so cute and interactive.. oh and the graphics is great too! I can't wait to play again (but maybe have to wait till his exams are over T_T)

If you own PS3, please go and buy that game and play! It's so cute and fun!

LOLOL. Cos Jiexiang told me before the water bottle stinks but I don't think so (I guess same concept if you have a baby pillow which people think stinks but you just can't sleep without it)

I'll probably blog once I get a new compact digital camera, cos by then I'll bring my camera around and take photo! (not Canon camera. I know it's probably the best brand for camera but well...... those who know me very well should know why!)

Heroes Season 3

Have you watched Heroes? If no, please start watching it!

Heroes finally made a comeback with Season 3! Season 2 was ended quite abruptly due to the strike but nonetheless, Heroes Season 3 is filled with many more mysteries!

Jiexiang and I got the opportunity to catch episode 1 and 2 in GV Vivocity all thanks to Ripplevox, Starhub and StarWorld! Although Season 3 had started screening since September in the U.S., we don't have such chances to watch the same broadcast as the citizens of U.S.! But nevermind, because we have Star Movies from Starhub Cable Vision :)

The plot for Heroes Season 3 got more and more confusing as Peter Petrelli tries to change the future by 'editing' the past but there'll always be butterfly effect! I shan't reveal too much spoilers for those who have not watched! I can't wait to watch the rest of the episodes that've shown so far!

The premiere for Heroes Season 3 was nice as there were food, refreshments and even a goodie bag! Goodie bag comes with a Large size Heroes T-shirt and a beautiful notebook! What I wanted the most was the comic book which was given out during some mini contests though :( anyone wanna give it to me?

I hope there's more of such events from Ripplevox or Starhub/StarWorld!

Selfish-ness

Is there even such a word?

Humans always want the best for themselves, sometimes we tend to be selfish in order to achieve something (of cos I don't mean being selfish at the point of committing a crime).

In the morning, I heard on 933 that the survival rates for heart attack patients in Singapore is 2.7%. Why? Because those on the road are too selfish to make way if an ambulance is on the way, because those who are waiting for lift will not let the medics make their way to emergencies. It's really a shame.. 2.7% is a far cry from Seattle's 50%..

I also heard there's this husband from a particular religion (which allows man to marry more than one wife (I think it's Muslim)), asks his wife to tell this lady that he wants to marry her as her second wife.

His wife went to ask that lady, but was rejected because the lady is already married, and guess what?? The husband hit his wife.. 60 year old wife somemore!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!






Okay it's really insane and I don't know what's the point of this entry.

Viknesh's Farewell

I'm back with photos for Viknesh's farewell! I know it's been close to two weeks, but cos I have not gotten the photos from Sandra via MSN, but got it via her facebook (which is very very tedius).

So I was saying, Viknesh had lost freaking 27kg!!

Yes! Can you imagined how shocked was I when I saw him?!

I remember we were all waiting for him (star of the day, but he was 45mins late -_-), and I was told he changed alot in terms of appearance. I saw him about 2 yrs ago, and he looked the same, so I was not expecting too huge change.. until he was walking towards us and my friends were like "he's here already.. walking.."

I was abit like ??? cos I don't think I saw anyone which looks like him until he walked near us!!!!

Big difference leh!!!



He has gotten so handsome now!!

So we ate at this Indian buffet restaurant and took group photos!



Not all turned up but it was still a sweet sweet gathering cos it has been years since we last met :)

(If I'm not wrong the last gathering was at Mrs Sunil's place, which was probably in 2004)

Again, Viknesh has started school in Australia since this Monday, I wish him all the best!

Long time no see!

Went for my secondary school class 4E5 reunion yesterday.. oh how much everyone has changed!

The person who changed the most is definitely Viknesh! He has lost 27kg OMG!! I'm so gonna blog about his before and after once I get the photos!

Time has past really quickly! It's about 6-7 years of friendship!

I'm also gonna dig out my secondary school photos and then blog about the before/after of everyone! (if there is any significant changes)

We're so gonna meetup next Friday again (I hope it doesn't get cancelled)

I wish Viknesh all the best in his studies in Australia! Good luck in his future endeavours and say 'hello' to independence!!

Jay Chou's new album is finally expected to be released on 9th October!!
Pre-order starts 24th September :)

Usually I pre-order from Popular's CD Rama but last year I heard from Rosalind that Music Junction (if I didn't remember wrongly) has pre-orders for the Taiwan's version filled with more goodies! But of cos, it comes with a hefty price..

His 9th album is titled <魔杰座> and his hit song <稻香> would be having it's premiere broadcast in Asia on 22th September at 10am!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And his album photos are damn cool can!?

Attended my cousin's wedding last Saturday. Personally, I liked the wedding video. Instead of the usual slideshow-of-photos-from-start-of-relationship-till-wedding-day, my cousin had gotten someone to do a flash animation for her! It showed how she and her husband met, how she had initially rejected being her husband's girlfriend, to gradually missing him and accepting him, and then the proposal part.

The proposal part was unromantic though =X Imagine you and your boyfriend were on the way home in a car, and then he just pop the question?????????????????????????

I'll scold my boyfriend upside down!!!!!! No roses, no dinner, no romantic ideas etc... hmph!!

But the flash animation was cute, maybe I'll get Pixar to do a 3D animation for mine in future LOL!!!! ($$$$$$$)

Also, I realised most of the weddings I attended, played the song "From this Moment" by Shania Twain when the couple marched in. So common leh!! Must be different..

Lotus

Watched 12 Lotus last last weekend (overdue post again). I must say, the film is very very well made. I loved the unexpected twist (actually not much but it really amazed me how everything connects) and the costumes that were used.

It's a story about a girl, named Lotus, who wanted to sing the Hokkien song "12 Lotus". The movie protrayed how Lotus eventually "lived through" the song. It's a very dark movie, yet it impacts me so much I kept thinking why Lotus had such a fate, kept thinking up till the next day.

I read Yahoo! Movies reviews, the reviewers either liked it or hated it. (I belong to the former)

There is an artistic touch in this show - maybe that's why some ppl cannot understand and hated it. But the depth of meaning that the director wants to imply is far stretching and purposeful.

Totally agree! Jiexiang's aunts, mum and dad didn't like it, but the both of us find it nice. His mum said the first part of the movie is good, but the second part is very bad. I found it rather alright, except the "buy stones" part -_-;

So if you like dark tales, like artistic films, like plausible endings, or even like Royston Tan, you can watch this movie!

PHELPS!!

I know I may be very very late for this post but nonetheless, better late than never!!

Last Saturday, I watched Michael Phelps' 7th Olympics game Live on television. I must say, watching Live is definitely far far far better than watching YouTube repeat videos!

I woke up real early that day (his game was scheduled 1010h) and watched the game with my dad. It was really really breath-taking! My dad was like 'He's not gonna win....' that kinda because Phelps was lagging behind for the first 3/4 of the lap!! Then he finally catch up with the first swimmer in line but was barely overtaking him.. when the first swimmer (Australia? I forgot), was like 10cm away from the finishing line, Phelps was in the midst of completing the next stroke when *FWAH* his stroke ended before the first swimmer!!

How exciting is that??!! Furthermore, there was a debate on who reached the finishing line first as the difference was a mere 0.01 second. The recorded video was played back and slowed down by 1/100 (is that how you phrase it?) to witness who actually reached the finishing line first!!

Although he didn't break the World Record for that game, he got yet another gold medal!

I watched his last game on Sunday and wahhhh... it's so nice.. he won again! It was a 4 x 100m medley relay, and the second swimmer (breast stroke) was lagging behind as the Japanese breast stroke world record holder managed to pull a huge gap away from other countries.. Then when the third swimmers dived in (butterfly stoke.. Phelps!), Phelps was clearly pulling his distance away from other swimmers!!

Okay, to cut my story short, after Phelps won his 8th Olympic gold medal, the whole stadium's attention was on him lor.. Such a young swimmer (23 years old), with such great achievements. He not only broke the previous world record holder of having most gold medals in one Olympics, he is also the best Olympian so far.. with 14 Olympic gold medals..

Just read his wikipiedia page lahh!! Trust me.. I bet alot of girls like him as much as I do.. Till the next Olympics, Phelps! <3

I didn't know somebody would be using my tagboard nick just to find out details of my friend. It totally ruins my reputation! (FYI, I'm not really close with that friend, hence there could be some friction on the questions the fake me asks)

It simply disgusts me to realise that I did not tag such message on my friend's blog, and those questions the fake me asked were quite private questions. Anyway, it shows that the fake me visit my friend's blog everyday as there were posts made on 17th, 18th and 19th August. I was at BF's house when the fake me tagged on 17th and 18th!

I went to tag the board on 19th to clarify I wasn't the fake me on 17th and 18th, and the fake me appeared like 10 hours later to clarify that the fake me is not me again???? Like wth? Why would I go back another 10 hours later just to clarify it again. That person must be dumb.

Period.

My friend knows the truth though, but this made me more careful when tagging friend's blog. I'll probably stick to Blogger comments if there is, at least the fake me don't have my username and password access :D

MNE2

Watched Money No Enough 2 on Tuesday with Jie Xiang. The show in my opinin, has too much CG and was quite unrealistic, except for the mother role.

Thumbs up for the lady who played the role of the mother!

Why did I say the mother role was realistic? Well, because I believe it is common in Singapore. Siblings quarrel over money and who to take care of parents. The sight of the mother having to downgrade to sleeping just outside the toilet made me cry. The sight of the confused mother being brought to an elderly home made me cry. The sight when she realised she was going to an elderly home, upon seeing her son running away after dropping her off, made me cry.

The mother role was very well acted that I believe I heard some sniffing in the quiet theatre when emotional parts of the movie was screened, but the crowd burst out laughing during the comedy part which comes after the emotional though, but I didn't. The sad emotions in me overpowered the comedy.

Anyway, I think the quality of the video is lousy. Perhaps cos I watched too many HD movies in cinema, and that the quality of MNE2 disappointed me.

Thumbs up for the mother role though!

I still prefer The Dark Knight. Sadly, Heath Ledger has passed away, he wouldn't be able to see his brilliant performance on screen but he will be remembered. I heard from Catharine that he actually had drug overdose because he tried to forget the Joker role? That's sad, because he played that role so fantastic that The Dark Knight had many reviews like "best superhero blockbuster ever"

RIP Heath Ledger.

Oh, new Olympics layout :)

Michael Phelps is hero!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've been hearing his name on the radio and I decided to google it (seriously when I heard the word "Phelps", I roughly reckon the spelling would be "Phelps" and bingo!!). OMFG you gotta click on this!

Two years older than me yet so many achievements! (Okay I know different people, different destiny) He is good looking too, and that body!!!! *drools*

Let me fangirl for a while (mine is always very short-lived except for Jay Chou)

Today I heard on the radio that he had, yet again, broke the world record for 200m Butterfly Stroke. Maybe something typical for him but guess what??!! When he dive into the pool for that tournament, his left goggle was filled with water! He was 'half-blinded' and how the heck was he still able to break the world record????

He actually 'counted' his strokes so he'd be able to roughly tell when he is reaching the finish line!

Seriously a born swimmer!!!!!

Pray he clinch three more gold medals this Olympics to break another world record. He has already broken many world record, just read his Wikipedia page!!

Okay, let's just wish him all the best!!!!!!!! :)
