You know, I think Heaven's by my side.

Here I am, looking for 94 kind souls to donate me, while I found many other options to get hold of the tickets apart from the three options I listed in my previous entry.

There's two more ways now:

4) Take part in Mobile Race and make sure we emerge at least 3rd and win the cash
5) Devote my time in working for Creative for the upcoming two events and then just buy the tickets myself.

Well actually yesterday while I wrote the letter to everyone, I was thinking, what if I got donations but Wenna no money to go to the concert HOW?

I don't want to get high, all ALONE. That's really pathetic.

Anyway, she will most probably be working for Creative too and participating in Mobile Race :P

Forums stated that the reason Rain's concert is so expensive is because they will install those sprinkler devices to create a raining feel while listening to the concert. Also, all musical instruments will be flown/shipped (whichever way I not sure) from Korea.

I think the concert will be great! :)

Rain's World Tour Concert

Hi all,

I'm very interested in going to Rain's World Tour concert on 21st January but I've got a huge problem. The cheapest tickets are selling at $188..

$188! That's even $40 more expensive than my beloved Jay Chou's most expensive concert tickets ($148 being the most front seats). Although I can afford to buy the $188 myself but I don't really bear to part with that lump sum of money cos 1) I don't idolise Rain as much as I idolise Jay Chou but I still idolise Rain 2) I'm going to start supporting myself as of 13th November so it means I must spend wisely.

Well actually there's 3 options for me to get the ticket in my hands and I shall list them out starting from the highest priority:

1) Er, option 1 is highly confidential :P
2) Get an OCBC credit card holder to book the tickets for me cos there'd be 10% discount ($169 instead of $188)
3) Find 94 kind souls to donate $2 as part of my advanced birthday present.

For option 2, I decided that if I managed to get an OCBC credit card holder, I shall find 84 donors instead of 94.

I think you might have guessed the reason to why I'm writing this post, YES, I need 94 donors. I know option 3 is my lowest priority but in case the first 2 options doesn't work out, I'll need 94 donors and I can't possibly find 94 at the last minute.

So if you decided you wanna do a little favour for this little girl who wrote all these, you can start tagging my board or PM me in MSN and tell me you wanna be part of the 94 kind souls.

I've only got 18 donors so it means I have 76 more to go!

P.S. In case you doubt me in terms of ticket pricing, you can check out the pricings here.

Yours Sincerely,
Kong Huei Shan

Commencement Date of Independence

As of 13th Novemeber 2006, I, Miss Kong Huei Shan, will not be getting allowance from my parents. I will be supporting myself with the amount of money I earn from my part-time job.

No, no, no. I'm not getting allowance from my parents not cos I've been a bad girl lah.. But cos I initiated that myself. I wanna have a taste of what it feels like earning money for myself and then not depending on my parents for allowance.

Anyway, luck wasn't with me yesterday when I mahjong-ed with Kenneth, Kai Ling and Fai. Lost a whopping $23 in just six and a half hours.

ROAR.

Once I start supporting myself, I shall stop mahjong-ing (maybe once a month even though that's what I'm practising right now and caused myself to lose money -_-) often anymore.

Cannot afford to lose so much lah.

18

Some customers are so hilarious.

Today Elizabeth and I were serving the last batch of customers before we close and the arrangement was like that:

I was serving Mr Brian R. and she was serving the bunch of kids. The kids attempted to rent some NC16 and M18 shows without IC to verify that at least one of them is 18 and they were like bargaining and stuff. Mr Brian R., who rented at KAP for the first time (is a customer from Rail Mall), was filling in some form while I register him with his passport.

While the kids were having trouble with attempting to rent NC16 and M18 shows, obviously me and Mr Brian R. overheard the entire conversation between Elizabeth and the kids. The kids couldn't get through it and went to select other shows.

So when all's done between me and Mr Brian R., he left the store and happened to intersect with Elizabeth on his way out. He went like: "Why didn't you asked me if I'm 18?"

FUNNY SIA! Maybe not that funny here but Mr Brian R. is like 45 years old already! Apparently very obvious that he's over 18 cos of his gray hair! LOLOLOL.

That sentence made me and Elizabeth laugh.

SO FUNNY LAH! I left a note in his account saying: Customer asked why I didn't ask him if he's 18, so next time just ask him if he's over 18 when he rent M18 shows!

HEHE. I bet he'll feel so happy since we will be "mistaking" him that he's 18 and below.

Independence

Maybe I should be more independent, and when I say "independent", I mean forking out my own allowance and my handphone bills.

Although I've already took charge of my transport fees, but I think I ain't doing much just by forking out $52 for my concession pass and maybe $10 for MRT transport fees every month.

Maybe I should start doing that.

Encounters with Celebrities

Today I was working (as usual) and there was continuous crowd in store. This female came in (she looked very familiar) and asked for The Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift DVD (or Lakehouse or Break-Up, I don't remember lah). I pointed to her where she could find it cos there we were quite busy.

She really look very familiar leh.. her voice also..

Then she came over and I was the one who served her. Obviously she had to speak again cos she did not have membership card (and dumbly, I asked her for either her phone number or IC number so I could find her details).

Search results: Carrie Chong.

In case you don't know who she is, you can click on her name.

DAMMIT. I'm so freaking dumb.

This isn't the first case regarding my encounters with celebrities loh. Once I served Jeanette Aw and I asked her for her phone number or IC number to find her details cos like Carrie Chong, she did not have her membership card with her.

I know it's Jeanette Aw but I thought for privacy purposes, she used her parents' account or whosoever lah, just as long as not hers.

Ida didn't get to see her cos she was serving another customer while I served Carrie Chong. When she left and I told Ida she was here, she went like "WHERE, WHERE, WHERE?"

Too late.

Haha. She is very funny lah (I mean Ida), her reactions are all so stupid and funny it keeps me laughing for a long time. LOL.

Double Pay

You know, sometimes if you mistype a letter, it can make alot of difference to the word. Sometimes it becomes a nicer and sometimes it becomes something worst.

(I know there's still a missing "T" and anyway, no discrimination intended)

**********

Work shall be hectic for me for the next few days. Gonna work 5 days straight and in different outlet on alternate days. Well, it'll soon be over and the plus-side is it's Public Holidays!

I know I have no PH considering the fact that I'm working (i.e. Deepavali and Hari Raya) but it means double pay! Everyone loves double pay :)

So by mid-november, the balance in my bank account shall increase tremendously.

HOORAY PH~ Please give me more PH :/

Miss-ery

Source

Have you ever miss someone so badly you think about them all the time?
You miss that particular someone so badly you even dream about them..
You miss him/her so badly you talk about them all the time..

Many of these times you wish that someone knows how you're feeling..
Wish that he/she would know how much you miss them..
Wish that they would miss you the way you miss them too..

But how many of these times the other someone felt how you feel?

Even when you finally met him/her after not seeing him/her for a long time..
You wished you could just hug that someone,
and tell him/her how much you missed them..
how much their presence means to you..

But everytime that happens, you realised you gotta hold yourself back..
You realised things aren't just gonna be that simple..
You realised the barrier between you and that someone is still there..
You realised the hug is just a dream..

The hopes you hold on to, is always there..
The dreams you look out for, brings you more hope..
The smile from that special someone, is what kept you going..
But the love from that special someone,
is something you don't know if you'll ever get..

**********

I wished I could tell you how much I miss you..
I wished I could tell you how much your presence means to me..
I wished I could spend all the time in the world with you..
I wished I could make you feel the same way I feel for you..
I wished I could make our hearts beat in unison..
I wished that one day my hand will meet yours..

Vivocity with Giroro

Hello everyone! My name is Giroro and today I'm gonna blog on behalf of my owner!

Yesterday my owner, Huei Shan, went to Vivocity with Reuben (the person who introduced me to my owner). It was her first time there and man, Vivocity is huge!

Both of them gone there to catch a movie, have dinner, and of cos, explore Vivocity. They had wanted to catch Me, You and Dupree but the seats left were for the first three rows. So they watched Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby. Frankly, up to today, Huei Shan still don't know how to pronounce the name of the movie she watched yesterday.

Well nevermind, the show was not bad. Before movie, they had dinner at Food Republic and I tell you the Food Republic at Vivo rocks my socks!

I shall tell you why:

Turns out I don't have any socks.

Anyway, Food Republic at Vivo is damn damn damn retro right! Even better than the one in Wisma!

I have more photos to show you!

Well, Huei Shan had chicken chop for dinner.

And Reuben insisted on trying the Hokkien Mee.

WOW. I never knew Hokkien Mee looked like that.

When Huei Shan and Reuben finished their dinner, they had to walk through crowds to get out of Food Republic cos obviously Vivocity is very very crowded. Singaporeans mah, kiasu must see how Vivocity look like. Cannot lose out.

A very interesting stall caught Huei Shan's eyes.

The main point is not "What you do Prata" or "What do you Prata" or however way it's read, the main point is the five chinese words located on the bottom right hand corner.

Still can't figure out what it says?

Please hold your laughter.

It says: "圆的不能拿"

WTH RIGHT! I always thought "圆的不能拿, 扁的可以拿" is always a phrase to mimick the Indians (no offense here) but to make that as a shop name, furthermore, an Indian store name, really tickled my funny bones! Huei Shan kept laughing from the time she saw that store name to the time she stepped out of the Food Republic!

She was tempted by Toast Box which was located right in front of Food Republic and had her virgin mouthful of Peanut Butter Toast after movie!

Huei Shan enjoyed it very much cos it's very peanuty (durh) and very tasty! She's craving for it now :/

Next time go Vivocity must eat toast at Toast Box okay!

**********

My owner also bought a pair of very cute red shoes last friday and managed to flaunt it today. She received much compliments from her classmates today :)

Maybe it don't look cute that way but:

:)

She think she needs to bind her feet leh :/

P.S. Kendric thinks her shoes looked like some murderer shoes or some spirits kinda shoes, like those in movies you know. It's deep red but I think it's very pretty. Huei Shan fell in love with it when she saw one of the customers wore a similiar red shoes with jeans and a simple spaghetti low cut top. She found it while shopping for shoes on Friday and bought it. Kendric is weird. ROAR~

Steamboat

Had steamboat with Shu Chen, Shu Mei, Silvirin, Zi Qian and Peng Peng on Wednesday. Met up with them at 1pm at Jurong Point to buy the food for steamboat. It certainly is cheaper for six of us as compared to having a BBQ.

It isn't at all easier too, we had to prepare the food ourselves; remove the shells from the prawns, slice the fish meat for easy cooking, clean the sotong, wash the raw food etc, but it's all worth it :)

Looks YUMMY right!

Then we movie marathoned. This time round, we finished all seven movies I brought! There as Fun with Dick and Jane, Ice Age, Ice Age 2, Doll Master, Mindhunters, Final Destination 3 and White Noise.

Ice Age and Ice Age 2 is funny like hell!

Doll Master is a sick movie.

Why sick? Basically a group of people were invited to some doll gallery place to stay in and that the doll maker will make a doll that resembles these people. The guests were given a room each to stay over and then rooms are just SICK. Every room had a lifesize doll in it; one had the doll sticking out of the wall holding the mirror, and another one had the doll coming out of the ceiling holding the lights. Seriously lah, will you dare to sleep in such rooms? NO I WON'T. These dolls are definitely eerie looking.

Worst still, I think there's a flaw in the movie line. Either the rooms had an attached bathroom (which I don't think so) or the female cast just like to go to the public toilet available. Well, I believed it was the second day when the murder of one of the guests happened and that the female cast got another male to follow her to the toilet. The toilet is, yet again, SICK. There were dolls sticking out from the toilet bowls, which of course freaked the female cast. To make things worst, there was a mirror at the back of the door, as in you can look yourself in the mirror as you do your business. It's even more freaky. Of cos, as expected, the female cast died. Well in case your wondering why I said there's a flaw, it's because if it's a second day and that there's only a public toilet available, the casts don't need to go to toilet on the first day one meh? Why so freaked out?

Mindhunters is brilliant! Seven people had to find the killer in this island and yet they were all manipulated subconciously.

White Noise, on the other hand, is disturbing. I didn't watch that one though, cos I was knocked out by the time we finished six movies. It was around 5am too if I didn't remember wrongly. It's disturbing cos I was deeply asleep when I was awoken by very disturbing screaming voice. It's okay if it's just for a short while, but the thing is, one minute there was screaming, another minute it's complete silence, then one minute there's screaming, another minute it's complete silence, and it goes on and on and on. So you can imagine one minute I heard screaming, I was awake, when it falls back to silence, I'm asleep, then the screaming comes back, I was awake yada yada yada.

You know, Silvirin has miniature mahjong! It's not as small as the one I saw in Cineleisure but that's a fake too (as in ot the same material as original mahjong) but it's definitely small! It's real one lor, and it's even older than me!

Small not?! Maybe you can't see the difference now but I didn't take any more photos of it. Next time when I go her house again, I'll take photos again bah.

Too bad only Shu Chen and I know how to play mahjong, we like teached the rest how to play mahjong that day :/

This coming Thursday meeting them for dinner again. Will be FUN! So nice reminicising with them :)

**********

You know, I think I really very suay (unlucky). Today I was working when this customer called to complain.

Customer: I just borrowed Da Vinci Code and the disc skipped. I've played it for five times again and yet it skips in different parts.
ME: We'll give you a replacement.
Customer: The thing is, the disc is stuck in the player! I can't get the disc out. How are you going to compensate my family? It spoils our mood you know. This is not the first time it's happening already, the other discs we borrowed last time also like that. Your discs pirated one izzit?
ME: No! It's original! It's definitely not pirated.

And then he keeps singing in my ear. When I finally said we'll give him a replacement he said: "How are you going to compensate my family blabla" and then he hung up on me.

WTF.

I seriously think it's his player's fault lor. Da Vinci Code is still new, barely two weeks old, no customers ever complain yet he complains. It's cause he needs to clean his player lor. Chicken. Scold me.

**********

On the brighter side, Lucius came yesterday! He got his haircut and he looks tad bit botak but still cute :)

I didn't get to take a photo with/of him cause his family decided to leave after renting Da Vinci Code.

Lucius so cute lah. I found the egg shell for his toy (as in those machines where you put in $1 coin to get a random toy inside) in the plastic bag which his father gave me. Then I went to him and told him he left his toy in it.

He showed his parents and then came to the counter and went like "Tank yoo, Tank yoo, Tank yoo" continuously until I got his meaning. I didn't get it at first but after a while I realised he was saying "Thank You" to me. Then he went over and pulled his mum to the counter asking her to say Thank You to me too. Although his mum went like "Lucius, you already said "Thank You" to Shan jiejie already and it's enough. Why you need mummy to say "Thank You" again?" After much pestering from Lucius, his mum then said "Thank You" to me to make him happy.

CUTE RIGHT!

When he took a disc to the counter, he insisted in giving me even though Idah wanted to take. His mum went like "He wants to give it to Shan".

Aww.

SWEET.

Next time I'll take photo of him okay! Yesterday quite busy and also we only have one computer so I was quite busy serving customers too.

**********

Step Up is coming to theatres on 9th November! Just three more weeks to go! Woot! I've been waiting for that since I saw the trailer at Apple.com.

I can't wait for it man :)

Hectic

Had wanted to blog about what I did yesterday but then I can't find my handphone cable, so next time.

I guess next week might be a busy week for me. I'm working on days I'm not having IHP: Mon, Wed, Fri, Sat and Sun. On Tues and Thurs, it's IHP for me.

Already very packed liao lor.

Somemore on Sat and Sun I'm working at 1pm till closing.

Then the horror begins: I received the following email

Dear IHP students,

1. Please note that all IHP students are to report to school daily (5-day week) for your final year project from the start of the semester
16 Oct 2006 (Monday). (WTF? We weren't informed about that before we started our IHP! And no thank you, thanks for the offer though.)

2. We are glad to inform you that the school has now allocated more rooms for our IHP students to do their project during the IHP period
– this means there will be rooms for your use at all times when the term starts next week. (Sorry no thanks again. Even if there's a room I need, it's the computer lab!)

3. Every IHP student will be allocated to a room and you have to report to school everyday.
This will allow the supervisors to be able to attend to all students under their care more easily and for students to be able to seek advice promptly. (My supervisor is very concerned about my project already and I see him on the days I'm needed in school. He provides tons of help I need and I think that's sufficient enough)

4. There will be an IHP briefing for both group A & group B on next Monday (16 Oct 2006). The details of the briefing are as follow:

Group A & Group B:
Date: 16 Oct 2006
Time: 3 pm
Venue: 27-05-04

The briefing will include:
1. Room Allocation
2. Attendance taking procedure
3. IHP Schedule

Regards,
Mr Choo

Diarrhoea Attack

Greeted by the wonderful stomach aches due to an incoming diarrhoea. Well at least I wasn't greeted in the wee hours of the morning and then I had to wake up just to lao sai like the previous times. This time round, I can control it.

There was little pain in the morning and I suspected it could be a diarrhoea. Apparently when I go to the bathroom to bathe, I lao sai-ed too. Didn't want to go to school but went anyway because I can only do my final year project in school (lazy to do it at home).

Journey was torturous :/ Pains occurred once in the bus and once while waiting for the bus to get me to school. When I finished lunch with Wenna, the journey from Canteen 2 to Block 27 was worst.

"很痛~" ("very pain") was what I kept telling her and at times I really felt like I need to run to the toilet and settle some business but I had to endure for good. Block 27 Level 4 toilet is better.

When I finally reached the level, the pain wasn't very painful anymore -_-;

It's always like that one lor.

Modelling the nose is very very hard!

It looks not bad right. (ignore the eye, just a trial nia. Not the real eye.)

Horror horror.

It could be due to lighting problem (which I haven't added any) but the nose looks fake enough (at least to me)

MR JAMIE I NEED YOUR HELP~

**********

I had my hair trim yesterday. My fringe looks nerdish (cos it's short) but people said "it's okay". Is it me, or is it my fringe?

I hate pimples!!

Hmm. I bet no one likes it.

I was introduced to this Cellnique pro-sebum gel (太爱美了), and even though the price is steep, my younger sister and I shared to buy a bottle of it since it's 14 days guarantee, meaning if we're not satisfied with it, we can get full refund.

Indeed, it did make my face feel more refined and despite eating tons of heaty food, there wasn't any signs of pimples. But the fact that it didn't get rid of my blackheads (and my sister's too) like it said it will, we decided to return it.

So a few days after I stopped using it, to my horror, there's so many pimples on my cheeks! Not those too serious kind but rather those tiny ones which costs my skin to become tad bit reddish than usual but I definitely look hideous! It was like it's a friday afternoon, I woke up at three plus because I had work at 5pm and I looked into the mirror and saw those pimples!

Damn damn horrible :(

My mum told me to go down to Guardian cos they have those consultation people who can recommend some good stuff for the face. So I went down even though I know I might be late.

I really really hope those pimples reside sooon! Before the semester starts because I'll look horribly hideous!

Okay, maybe it's not that bad, as Idah said but I feel damn horrible. I never had such ugly complexion before :(

On the plus side, I've got Prison Break but without subtitles are really a torture. Not that I don't understand but 40% of the time they speak too fast or the volume's kinda soft due to ever-changing environment :/

TRY AUDITION!

Very very nice. The dance moves are beautiful. Well, it's beautiful for a 3D character le ar, considering it a game but it's hard :P

GO TRY.

I'm soooooo sleepy now but I know I can't turn in as yet cos I just ate my dinner like less than one hour ago.

It makes me feel more sleepy when I'm modeling a human head and darn when I know I still can't get it right cos if I add symmetry mirror to it, a symmetrical head will not appear, instead, something quite hideous with a HUGE long gap in between appears.

Kinda reminds me of this Sun Plaza suicide of a girl that's been circulating around. The images are highly disturbing yet unbelievable. I mean, how can it be possible that the photographer managed to take multiple shots of the body at the crime scene? With the fact that he even did like, far shot, middle shot, and close up. Somemore there's completely no one around (I don't mean someone has to be around the corpse) but there's no police either, much less having policeman close up the area with those crime scene tapes.

Besides, the most weird thing is, if it's a passerby who took the photos, how come there's a photo which shows the head of the corpse in a lab where I can see the corpse was cleaned cos there wasn't any visible blood stain around nor on the face.

No, I did not stare at the photos like 10cm away but that's what I noticed from far.

If you wonder how disturbing the suicide is, basically there's a girl lying down there, bra exposed, with her head split into half. It looks like when you boil hotdogs, and to make it boil faster, you slit half the hotdog. Just that the corpse has extra features with one eye at one side, not forgetting the ears.

Okay, indeed very disturbing.

Work was hectic cos I had to key in goods titles like up 800++ for transfer. But it was okay. At least I had something to do.

The most exciting yet scary part was when the thief who has been stealing vcds from our stores turned up!

I did not know it's him cos 1) I've never seen any suspicious students before 2) my colleague did not give me the description of how the suspected thief looked like.

So basically I noticed this three students who browsed the store for very long. Somehow (don't ask me why) my instinct told me to keep watch of them. After some time, I realised they might not be the theives. It was when this skinnier and taller guy from the group (he looks very very innocent) took this Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (HPatGoF) VCD from the kids section to show his friends.

I still did not suspect him.

I didn't have anything to do at that time, so I went to arrange the catalogue DVDs. To my horror, when I turned to the foreign section of the store (just behind the kids section), I saw him taking out the discs as quietly as possible.

He went like "Sorry sorry, it dropped."

That's freaking fake. How could a VCD possibly drop out from a DVD casing? (HatGoF original package is in those large cases like DVD.

I did not answer him and I saw him putting the disc back and placing it back to where it supposed to be.

I then went over to tell Kendric. I asked if he wanted to check their bags but he said it's very serious if we didn't manage to find anything, so we let them scot free.

But I must say, at that moment when I saw him attempting to take the disc out, I was damn damn damn nervous. I did not know what to do, did not know how to react.

Anyway, Kendric jokingly said I should have told him "Nevermind, whether the disc dropped it or not, we can see it from the security camera" to freak those boys out.

Muahahhaa. Imagine if I said that.

That thief stole alot of vcds. VCDs only, you might say. But the thing is, he even stole the entire Desperate Housewives Season 1 DVDs!

I salute to him, man!

Somemore when he realised we added new mirror to overlook the area where he's been stealing the discs, he just steal VCDs from the ex-rental bins which is just in front of the counter and in front of the main door!

Roar. One day he will be handed over to the police. The most unbelievable thing is, he chose to steal in his school uniform.

I couldn't make out what school is that, the uniform is entirely white and the blouse pocket has got what looked like a purple strip with words on it. Any idea?
