IT Show

Worked for Microsoft for the past four days at the IT Show. It has been fun, fruitful, not forgetting tiring too. Apart from leg aches due to prolonged standing, my colleagues are nice :)

Lunch and dinner were synchronised with Wei Ming, Kenneth, Teck Wei and Xeno, so I didn't have to eat alone! Although I tend to the booth at Bell Systems alone, the people were nice.

Basically I think this job ain't as irritating as the Creative WHS, because people just ask you to compare every single MP3 player before deciding which one will meet their needs. In just one day, I think you'll need to repeat 59038u5395 times of the same thing. Although Microsoft is pretty much the same but then at least I get to earn commission for some of the items.

I know, I know, I'm abit too materialistic, but who isn't?

Last day was best because commission was increased and I managed to sell all units of the item with the highest commission :D (I still feel tad bit miserable for selling off the last set of the item because it was the display set and the mouse dropped several times)

Anyway, the main thing is I met quite alot of people too. Bumped into Uncle Daniel and he said he's transferred to block 5. He asked me for my contact number though, am wondering if we'd ever met up or something cos it's abit too weird? :x

As I've said, the people at Bell Systems are nice and they constantly fed me with snacks. Not that it's a very good thing nor it's a very bad thing but I realised when it comes to working full days for work, I get hungry very easily.

Just like when I work for Creative, I tend to look forward to lunch breaks and tea breaks. Dinner for last day was quite pathetic, there were only leftovers for lunch but I didn't want to eat food that was left for a few hours (not that I'm picky lah), but anyway, Kenneth ate half of his share and gave half to me.

Then I sat at my booth to eat the half and some too sweet kueh. The rest were packing up cos it's the last day. I know I'm pampered. Everyone was busy and I was just there sitting down and enjoying every bit of my food.

The coolest thing about the whole IT Show is the tattoo.

I know, I know, it's just a tattoo but it looks so cool and while putting that on, I felt as if I'm all so young again, pasting temporary tattoos on my arms and hands, feeling all so excited about the process and loving the outcome.

Maybe if fated and if I ever work for Microsoft again, I hope to work at the booth for Bell Systems.

One day if I ever go to Sim Lim, I will go up and ka jiao people, probably asking for snacks.

Happy Menses Day!

To me.

Cramps almost killed me during work yesterday.

Gonna work for the IT Show today till sunday.

Then working for laptop sales in NP on 22nd to 28th.

I'm gonna be busy, really.

Ask me why I don't wanna find a job which relates to my diploma.

I don't know either.

I don't have NS. Neither am I gonna enroll to University this year.

Go figure.

Break that routine!

I've been PMS-ing for two weeks already.

I know I know, it sounds tad bit too exaggerating especially to girls. I've never look forward to menses but this time I worry big time!

No. I'm 100% sure I'm not pregnant because I'm 110% sure I did nothing that can make me pregnant nor did anything happen to me that can make me pregnant.

Wenna said it could be stress.

I don't think I'm any bit stress.

I think it's the huge change in routine? I don't know. Ever since IHP ended, I've been sleeping in the wee hours of 4am. Waking up like 8 hours later. 8 hours is more than sufficient sleep for many people but I usually sleep for 10 hours. Nevermind that.

Sometimes these days I find it hard to fall asleep at 4am. I always make sure the latest I would stay up till is 4am but I always end up tossing and turning on my bed till I gradually fall asleep like half an hour later.

The last time I had menses was 20th Jan. I remembered it so clearly because it was the last day of Open House.

I'm so worried cos if I ever *choy* stop menstruating, it just means I can't reproduce. Everyone knows how much I love kids.

BTW I've found a new love!

I know everyone will be shocked because they pretty much know what I really hate.

But don't say I never warn you..

I LOVE BROCCOLIS!

People who knows me very well knows I hate vegetables alot and people who know me even better knows I'm trying to accept eating vegetables since last year. Kinda a new year resolution for me.

I was first introduced to broccolis on the first day of CNY. Had broccolis for reunion dinner and it was very tasty!

My mum cooked it today and I totally love it.

When I reached home from work, I was hoping to see left-over broccolis for me and I even asked my dad why he threw the vegetables!

He went like: "You eat vegetables meh?!"

And was shocked when I said yes.

I was more sad when I see broccolis in the dustbin :(

I think it didn't taste as well already because my mum cooked it like 2pm :'(

Broccolis mania. I think it's the best vegetables among all. The other are pretty much tasteless but seaweeds taste good! (if it's considered a vegetable :D)

What are the odds..

.. of winning lottery the first time you bought it?

Some people buy lottery for many years/times but they never win anything.

I think I'm damn lucky to strike lottery the first time I buy it.

I'm happy not because of the fact I won some money, I'm happy because of the fact I'm damn lucky..

It all happened when my brother asked "Never buy toto? $10mil leh."

"I don't know how to buy leh"

"$0.50/set"

"Oh. Help me buy $2.00 lor."

"So little!"

(remembers I won some money from mahjong the day before) "Okay, help me buy $4.00 then"

I wasn't expecting to win but anyway, I did check the winning numbers against my ticket and saw four matching numbers in a set. I remembered my brother said if there's at least four matching numbers, it meant I won.

So I called him and check.

DANG DANG DANG DANG~

I won myself $30.

Anyway, I think it's all fated because had I asked my brother to buy $2.00 worth of quick pick, I wouldn't have won because the set which won was the 8th set of it.

LUCKY ME.

On March 2nd, also the day I won lottery, it was Kai Ling's birthday.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GAL.

Yesterday, it was Kenneth's birthday. BTW we watched Just Follow Law.

Basically I think in terms of morale of the story as compared to other Jack Neo's film, I'll rate this film just 2/5.

But for Fann Wong's acting, I rate 4.5/5. She has to completely "lose her image" to act this film because it's about switching souls with Gurmit Singh. It meant she gotta act like a man in a woman's body.

BTW I rate 5/5 for the Indian security guard Muthu for his entertainment purposes in the movie. LOL.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DUDE.

Hope you love the two years' supply of Chuan Bei Pi Pa Gao we bought you.

My sister-in-law bought me this piggy bank which can oink when I put some coins in it.

It's so cute and I decided to name it Casanova since it's decorated with heart shapes around the body.

MEET CASANOVA.

Let me end my entry with this last photo I want to share.

:P

24th February 2007

Remember the little boy with hot curls who gave me and Kai Ling a chocolate fudge ice-cream during work? (click here to recap)

Well, I bumped into him and his dad again after visiting at William's place! I bet M05 were like ?? when they saw I stopped by to talk to the buskers at the tunnel leading to the MRT station.

Yes, they're buskers, I felt so terrible after knowing they're buskers, because his dad has been so nice to buy the ice-cream for us due to his son's request. I know buskers don't earn their money easily :/

And no, I didn't give them any money too. That made me feel even terrible. I know I should have, but because I was too excited about seeing them again and that I was delaying M05's time, I left without placing some money in the hat.

But I believe I will meet them again. The sweetest thing is, the little boy remembers! Of cos that's after I told him a little about it. He remembers where I worked at and remembers he gave me the ice-cream. His dad also remembers I worked at the video shop and asked if I'm still working there. After I left, he shouted "I LOVE YOU!". HAHA, that's so cute. I shouted back "I love you too".

The reason to why I believed I will see them again because I remember some familiar guy was busking at the underground leading to Wheelock's place. I remember I was with my younger sister and he was very friendly greeting everyone who passed by, of cos complimenting everyone as well.

DARN. Why didn't I realise it that time.

Nonetheless, I'm happy bumping into hot curls again :)

Visiting at William's place was great! The food was good and his wife cooked pasta again! Darn, CNY just make me fatter because I usually go for second servings :/

Anyway, instead of ham pasta, his wife cooked seafood pasta! What luxury! Furthermore there was sandwiches, and erm.. I don't know what the food is simply great!

His dog is, as usual, hyperactive but this time round he didn't get to come out and play with us because Shida and Mardiana was at his place.

After William's, it was Kai Ling's. Dammit. So sinful, CNY is all about food and gambling, food and gambling, food and gambling all over again. I played four rounds of mahjong and a little bit of black jack know.

Darn.

Anyway, I think luck has been good.

26th February 2007

Met up with Nick so he could tell me and Kenneth more about the project we're assigned too. Woo, I'm not really jobless. Maybe I can try this out and then continue my job at Video Ezy.

Ended up mahjong because Fai said he felt like winning my money. ROAR.

Very sian know. Every table I sit in for mahjong, at least one person will say I always 放炮. Yet every time I'm the one winning.

Nonetheless, Fai did not win my money and surprisingly, I won abit.

Samuel is, as usual, so mean, ignoring me and stuff, even though I drew a sun for him. I asked him to call me 姐姐 and he said next time then call -_-; I don't always visit you know. Roar.

28th February 2007

KAP is so damn stuffy and warm. Work has become frustrating, choking and horrible. It just slow down my work pace and I complain about the heat every now and then. Walking into Cold Storage or McDonalds is equivalent to walking into heaven. Yes, it's so exaggerating. It's so pathetic we had to use a fan in it :(

Somebody please save KAP.

1st March 2007

Geez, I should be working on the website. Yes I did and I handed in the prototype but in between, I went out for like eight hours of mahjong. How sinful is that?

Chen Chen lah, tempt me :/ Anyway it was fun lah. Able to play with new kas.

And dammit, someone whom I only know today also say I always 放炮. But I still won for the total of three rounds we played.

But seriously, I think luck was good man. Someone had like 9 bamboo tiles in front yet I threw out 7 bamboo and I paid for all. I still won.

I initially had like 3 tais, 1 flower tai (my own flower) came, and then I go touch another tile, I mahjong-ed, become 5 tais.

But luck is always not that good.

So I'm still lucky for now :D

Lucky

NEW layout. Basically inspired by a photo Alvin showed me.

Played around with contrast level (suggested by Bun) and TADA, I made this. Maybe not very "WOW" but I like it.

Anyway, I think I've been lucky. In Malaysia, while I played 21 points with my relatives, I got like 2 ban luck and 2 ban ban. I even gotten triple 7 BUT too bad my aunt don't play triple 7 thing so it's just a normal win.

Today I got a call from Shu Chen for mahjong. I was the East wind, and I usually don't fare very well if I'm East. Luck was with me today though, not only did I self-touch several times, there was also this round where I had like 9 bamboo tiles shown to others and of cos they avoided throwing bamboo tiles, my tiles were like 4456, which means I'm waiting for 4 and 7. 4 is tad bit risky cos I already have two of it and two of 7 bamboos were thrown out earlier. But TADA~ I got a 4.

Geez. It's my first time one house win three houses know. Just one round and I reaped $30 winnings.

Well, people who plays mahjong will understand what I'm saying more.

BTW, this is so random but yesterday, though I was feeling pissed that not only I did not get to eat POPEYE as I thought we will, I also wasn't informed earlier that chances of having POPEYE for dinner is low because they had BK for lunch. Then I hopped through the ticketing machine at Chinese Garden (I decided to save money and walked alllllll the way to Chinese Garden), I got a call saying I don't have to go Changi anymore.

..

In the end, I met up with the guys in Orchard instead. Anyway, on my trip there, though listening to MP3, my eyes can't help but observe my surroundings rather than sleep. The lady sitting beside me left, and then I realised there were two mute passengers (this I assumed) on board, using sign language to communicate vividly.

The two of them found seats and stationed somewhere in front of me, as I looked at them, it made me realised I should be happier with what I have.

Not that I'm not happy with what I have or who I am now, but I must be happy that I'm blessed just being alive and normal; my five senses are working fine, my limbs and body and organs are working fine etc etc.

The two passengers are mute, and they live in their own quiet world because they can't speak. They might not be able to talk expressively nor say "I love you" to the people they love, but they looked like they're enjoying every bit of their conversation though sign language is much tougher den just moving our mouth.

As I look at them, it made me realised how lucky I am because I am fine. And no, this does not mean I look down at them because they can't speak. In fact, I feel tad bit embarrassed because sometimes there're the words I want to say, yet I don't have the courage to say. Sometimes there are the secrets which meant to be secrets, yet I can't keep. Sometimes there're the words which I already said, yet I wished I could take it back.

We should all feel blessed.

陪我玩...~

I think that's like the sweetest thing I can hear from Wu Jun. I think I really made a big leap. From being totally ignored by the cute brothers to making them coming to find me umpteen times just to look for me to play with them, I think I'm really good with kids. HEH.

In case you forgot how he look like. I was supposed to head back to Singapore on the second day of CNY but I decided to stay over cos the two brothers preferred me to stay for another night.

But then I kinda regret that decision.

ANYWAY, their new brother, not very new actually, has grown up so much! (refer to my profile picture)

LOOK AT THOSE DROOPY CHEEKS! ARGH!

The best thing about this dude is, he is totally NOT afraid of strangers. Just walk to the person carry him, gesture to carry him, and there you go, he's in your arms. Though he does not really put out his hands as if wanting you to carry him, he does not defend himself to say no!

Neither does he cry when you snatch him from the person who's carrying him. The only times he'll cry is when he's hungry and when he sees his mother. Just don't let him see his mother.

He gets excited pretty easily too. Like for example, Wu Jun took a mandarin orange and den hid it with some cute sound effects, he went all so high and kept giggling!

He sure is one cheerful baby.

I think I'll miss his oh-so-dependent state cos I believe the next time I visit him, he might be crawling, maybe even walking. His current state is those can't even crawl, quite wobbly, very soft and nice to carry around state. I don't mind carrying him for hours :D

Ye Zu is just so obedient can. There's twice I carried him and hide cos I lied to his dear older brothers that I wan bring him back to Singapore. Initially I walked to the gate, but was, obviously, stopped by the brothers. Then Wu Jun needs the toilet and said he go toilet.

"After you come back, I'm gone" and he didn't dare to go to the toilet. In the end he did went to the toilet though, but came back to find me disappear without his baby brother. Both of them frantically looked for me but found me 5mins later.

The next time I hide, I hid in the storeroom. Door was open but it was dark inside so I hid quite imperfectly perfect. (the storeroom has windows without glass panels) The storeroom was tad bit stuffy and I hid inside for like 10 to 15mins but the two brothers cant find me.

They even went back to their mum and said "Mummy! Baby 不见了!"

Ye Zu did not even cry nor did he show any signs of discomfort until the last few mins.

Imagine!

HAHA.

I just love him so much can.

HEEE.

BTW, Wu Jun is so funny can. I told his dad "我要抱他(Ye Zu)回家", his dad went like, "好啊!给我新币30,000". Of cos I just smiled at him.

Guess what Wu Jun said: "给我十块我就让你抱他回家!"

ROFL. I can give him 10 bucks so easily can, be it in RM or in SGD. HAHAHHAHA.

Kids are just so naive, or rather, 10 bucks is just so big to kids.

Simply too irresistible.

My aunt from my father's side has gotten a Golden Retriever! Name's Cherry.

SO BEAUTIFUL and she's just 6 months old.

My aunt's maid also grew roses at the corridor! I don't even know roses can be planted in Singapore due to the climate.

My perfect shot of the roses, please notice the blurry background effect. Definitely not photoshopped and my first successful attempt! :D

BAH. I regretted staying one day because, I ended up having diarrheoa in the wee hours because CNY is all about junk food, junk food and more delicious food!

And when I'm at the custom, my HP is flooded with messages. Nevermind it's messages, I could just reply them but to my horror, on the second night of CNY, my secondary school clique stayed over at one of our cribs to play cards and stuff, and that my class is at Wei Ming's crib already!

I wanted to join them know, but due to father's orders, I have to be back home for dinner.

:(

I think I miss quite alot of fun. BOO.

It's time to say goodbye

More than three years ago, I finish my O levels, started to get a taste of working life, then when results came, I made a choice and got to Ngee Ann Poly.

In a blink of an eye, I'm here, three years later in 2007, blogging about the days I spent in Poly. Days had passed so fast I could barely keep up with time; I feel I'm getting older and older every time I graduate from school.

Soon, it's time to say goodbye, or should I say, we never had a chance to really say goodbye to one another because we had our IAP/IHP this semester. Nonetheless, I spent a really fruitful three years in Poly. (or should I say two and a half years?)

There's always a time to say goodbye, even if we know we pretty much don't wanna leave the life we love so much, then again, it's time to move on to the next level of life..

In this entry, I shall write testimonials for people who left their precious footprints in my Poly years; namely the M05 people and a few others who made a difference in my life.

Before I get down to write those testimonials, I wanna apologize to everyone who may be reading this entry, whether or not, deep down I apologize to the people whom I've ever hurt verbally or maybe even physically. I'm sorry if my words ever hurt you because I'm a reckless girl. Sometimes I don't exactly find the right words to say before I start blurting out sentences that may hurt you in one way or another. Also, I apologize for any childish/immature/selfish things I've ever done to irritate/anger you.

However, I wanna thank you if you ever did anything to make me reflect on my actions. I also wanna thank all the people for making my life at Poly enjoyable. I wouldn't know what to do without you people.

Thank you M05 for teaching me mahjong (-_-;), teaching me how to fish prawns, teaching me how to ice skate etc etc. We've been through shits together during projects and overnight several occasions just to end up mahjonging. We've enjoyed each other's companionship during night cycling, during classes etc. We've got a great mentor too! Let's not forget to keep in close contact with one another after our official graduation okay?

Look at how much all of us has changed since year 1, time has passed so quickly..

(I bet the first thing you notice is YX's hair. So HORRIGIBLE! Where got people keep that type of hairstyle one! HAHA)

Now I shall start the testimonials according to alphabetical order:

M05
Cynthia
This girl here, though the oldest in class, is actually the most bian tai girl among all. She loves to end her smses with (.)(.) or some kinky stuff and never failed to crack us up with the most disgusting thing she can ever think of. Recently, she has gotten more and more youthful looking. Continue to look young, babe!

Fai
This guy is also pervertic. You'll never know what he has in mind cos sometimes when you see him staring at something or someone, and he realizes you are looking at him, he will give you the cunning and sly grin.

Jing Jie
JJ is Mr Nice Guy. Everytime I have problems with my laptop or anything, I'll go "JJJJJJJJ... I need your help!!!" Very helpful in terms of laptop stuff and in some academic areas. But one thing about him is, he is an anything guy! He always go "anything, anything" or cant make up his decision which kinda gets into my nerves. HEH. Please learn to be more decisive!

Kai Ling
My KAP colleague! HAH. Though I'm close with her, we never had a real heart-to-heart talk together. She is a nice girl and has a good sense of dressing style ranging from matured curls to youthful rebonded hair etc etc. Great company and sometimes it's nice of her to actually laugh or response to your oh-so-not-funny jokes.

Mardiana
Mardiana is so skinny! She has a great dressing sense and always trying out new stuff: like extension of eyelashes etc etc. She is a good dancer too. I'll never forget how we had to postpone our VIVA cos Ms Loo vomited! :/

Marlon
MARLONGLONG! This guy is most of the time out of class. He is a full-time slacker, only appearing most frequently in class after he receives the final warning letter else he'll face debarment.

Mike
Devoted to SIG and squash. This guy is part of the M05 regulars who frequently hang out together after school for dinner/movie/shopping. He is just too left-handed! He even uses his left hand to use the mouse :/ Don't get over dependent on your left hand ah.

Rong Guang
RG hates people doing things the long way (or at least I think so). He is a very sarcastic guy and will sometimes speak to the lecturer in a sarcastic way if he feels the lecturer is doing something that's redundant. I heard he's a quick learner too cos Mike and Ming attempted to teach him mahjong and he learnt that very quickly. I think he's smart and he can't be bothered with things that doesn't affect him.

Sam
Fann Wong here is a good speaker. He gives good presentation which normally takes up double the time of what others need. People who presents after him tend to feel much more stressful because he is such a good speaker. Please don't forget us after your graduation okay, because somehow I felt you start to drift further from all of us already. Nonetheless, all the best in everything you do.

Shida
BABE! She's into Prison Break like I am. Shida gotten closer to us since the 3rd year after Cynthia and Mardiana got posted to another class. Somehow, I don't know why she likes Ong Sey Beng! Maybe not that she like him, but she's just so happy when she noes OSB is her supervisor for IHP! -_-; I will never forget the time when both of us were late for SA lesson and the lecturer went like "You girls didn't apologise for coming in so late?" and that both of us waited for each other to apologise before we say sorry. None of us did and the lecturer was even more pissed off. HAH.

Teck Wei
Please don't get too addicted to online games arh! Please don't spent another few hundred just to get a weapon! Tsk tsk tsk. He has a beautiful L necklace; the aftermath of watching Death Note. Teck Wei loves doing last minute work, like starting on his assignment a few days before deadline BUT he ALWAYS produce BETTER products! He has hidden talent in flash and 3D Studio Max can!

Theresa
I do not deny the fact that we had disputes in the first year but then everything has lighten down as time passed. I believe we get along better these days. Anyway, this girl is loud and she is always so lucky to have people around her willing to lend her the extra hand! She is good at mahjong and is devoted to her guy for almost three years already. Blissful years ahead for you and Jian Qi!

Wei Ming
MAHJONG SIAO AR! I will never forget the 一炮三响 history you've created in my barely one year experience of playing mahjong with money. I can say that I learnt mahjong through him? Maybe the whole M05, I don't know. All I know is they started mahjonging everytime we overnight at each other's crib and I starting sharing money with this guy to play mahjong. This guy is also very funny, remember your 滚动 and your stupid 阿公 wearing JJ's glasses acts? He is obsessed with the old lady who mentioned about poopoo and caca, and currently, he is prison breaking.

Wenna
Poon is into media stuff, and currently, she is into Korean stuff. She is always fooled by us because she is so easily fooled. I prefer to think she's dumb but she insisted she's just naive. Boo boo. Time spent with her is always great because you wouldn't know what stupid stuff she is up to, or what stupid things will happen to her. Every time such things happens, everyone bursts into horrible and unstoppable laughters (okay maybe especially me).

Xeno
Xeno
is a man of deep thoughts. Enjoys salsa and mahjong too! He's legend to ligu ligu. BOO. Because that makes me the second person in history to make ligu ligu. I heard he did a shi san yao also!

Yong Xiang
I still wanna say: your IPork is so bulky and fat and heavy can! The only guy who goes in and out of Singapore just to pursue his studies. I must say that's envious, cos I wouldn't do that if I live in Malaysia! And please be a better host if we ever decide to go to your place again can?! I will never forget the experience I had when we were over your place during CNY last year. Apart from the good food, I wanna complain about everything! ROAR.

William
He's like the nicest mentor ever! He's so nice but we never step over his head and all of us respect him. I love teasing about his balding head behind his back though :P and Lim Fang How loves to call him Prince William. LOL. I love his wife's cheese marcaroni! SLURPS!

New Look

KAP renovation is kinda done? I don't know, the workers kept delaying the poster board thingy. But anyway, the new KAP looks very very different from before:

The new KAP looks more spacious, but no longer has the unique orange walls and carpet flooring :( Ida said KAP is no longer cosy already.

Some customers still complain about the smelly smell in store :/

Anyway, I mahjong-ed last week and lost badly. However, I wanna blog about it cos Wei Ming 一炮三响 leh! For those who don't know what it meant, it basically means he threw out a tile which all the other three players need to win.

We were seating in this order: Wei Ming >> Me >> Kenneth >> Xeno. When he threw out 3 tong, Kenneth went like "HU!" and I was like "hehehehe, I win first cos I'm before you" in my heart. Then Xeno was like "zzzzzzzzzz, I also win leh! Sian, why you (Kenneth) in front of me.."

My tiles..

Kenneth's tiles..

Xeno's tiles..

He made it to the history of mahjong.

HAHA.

But in the end, he was the sole winner -_-;

Mahjong-ed yesterday too.

Played two whole rounds and did not have luck for the first round and Wei Ming even called me 放炮Queen, cos I kept throwing the tiles people need to win :(

I RECOUP MY $25 LOSS AT THE END OF THE TWO ROUNDS and won k.

HAHHA.

Most importantly, luck was with me!

I DID LIGU LIGU!

What's ligu ligu?

Basically it's having triplets but is all you get it yourself rather than pong from people one.

This one really need luck. 5 tai!

After that my luck keep rolling in, diao zheng for 6 times (this one Jun Yi go count one) and won 5, 4, 5, 4, 4 and 3 tais respectively (this one Kenneth go remember -_______-;).

Okay, I shall not brag anymore. I just wanna remember my ligu ligu ligu ligu ligu ligu... :D

Finally..

I've been working too much.

BUT THE GREATEST THING HAPPENED TODAY!

No. Lucius did not visit. Neither was there cute kids who talked and played with me.

I BUMPED INTO MADAM TAY!

Who is she?

Well, only my primary school mates will know who is she.

She was the one who taught us ALL the subjects during P6 except Chinese. She made a difference in our lives.

All of us had lost contact with her ever since she left Yuhua Primary. Nonetheless, I bumped into her at KAP can!

SO HAPPY!

If I hadn't go to the toilet at the moment, I wouldn't have noticed someone who resembles her very much.

If I didn't have the determination to confirm if it's really her (cos she was marking some papers), I wouldn't have wanted to get her contact from her.

When I saw her, I was like happy yet scared. Scared cos I don't know if she still remembers me! I'm lucky she is alone though.

The first thing I did was called Marcus and then told him about it. Then he said I should approach her cos if I miss this chance all of us can never have her in gatherings!

When I decided to approach her, she happened to be on the phone and staring outside and I was like waving at her (I think I looked dumb or weird cos she must be wondering who was waving at her), then I walked in and approach her table.

I really think I look dumb!

Cos if I'm her, I'd be like ?! and then even more ????? when there's this girl who approach you.

Chat with her and got her contact. WOOOO!

6E, next gathering we will have Madam Tay with us!!!!!!

Sweetest goodbye?

Not really.

Supposed to start packing abit at 6pm, but dammit, the construction people came so early! They came in like 2pm or something, I don't remember, and when they see that we're starting to pack, they start to dismantle the store!

Roar! They totally spoil the revenue for the two to three hours they've started knocking out the walls and stuff like that.

Nevermind they start knocking down the walls know, they started to take down the VCDs/DVDs, interrupting the sequence of the titles! I mean, we gotta pack it nicely, at least in alphabetical order so it's easier to unpack. But they gave us more work.

We had to hurry and hurry and even though we expected to finish at most by 3am, we finished by 11pm.

Damn, they're supposed to start knocking down the walls at 10pm but by 10.34pm, the store had already become like that:

Maybe you'll say, chey, not alot what. BUT you see those black lines on the orange walls? Supposedly there's metal thingy nailed to it. The workers have to first dismantle the shelves for the VCDs/DVDs, dismantle the poster lighted board thingy, unscrew the metal thingy, and then knock down the walls.

That's right. We lost alot of revenue cos when customers asked for some titles, we couldn't produce it cos it's already packed.

Nevermind.

They smoke in the store know!

I know it's normal for construction people to smoke in the place they're working at, but they kept smoking and smoking! Customers already complain we have moldy/mouldy (?) smell in our air con system :/

Now for the cute part: Lucius came!

And frankly, today was the first time I saw him smile so widely?

He's so cute lah. I was packing and he was there looking at us packing, I walked to him and asked "Lucius, do you want to help?"

"No, thanks", said Lucius.

But when his mum saw him so curious, she asked if she want to help, he went like "Yes! I want to help!"

Then he followed me to gather instructions to pack.

He was able to understand my instructions after one minute :D Brilliant boy.

When told to pass the discs with VE papers to Angela, and totally blank ones to me, Lucius did accordingly and helped till he finished the first three levels of disc which he can reach.

When I'm still packing the upper shelves, he asked "What can I help now?".

So I told him, it's okay already cos he's not tall enough to reach to the top.

"Nevermind! I'll ask my dad to carry me!"

Then he got his dad to carry him but his dad was busy at the counter so he just carried him at the counter.

I was busy packing and I back-faced him, then my butt hit someone.

I turned around thinking: Oh no, who did I hit with my butt?

I then saw Lucius walking towards his mum and dad and then smiled widely.

Probably cos everyone is so busy and when he got near me he got hit by my butt and he found it amusing? I don't know.

But he damn cute :D

I bet Angela love him too.

He kept wanting to help but they had to go liao.

Love him to bits man.

Goodbye, the oh-so-familiar VE KAP where I started working at.

I'll miss the carpet flooring (if they decided to completely remove it but not replacing it with new ones)

I'll miss the oh-so-lousy sound system and oh-so-pathetic little TVs with have in store. (although I heard they might put in two [plasma?] LCD TVs for us)

I'll miss the unique counter which no other outlets have.

I'll miss the broken hatch cupboard doors behind the counter.

I'll miss having to bend down while serving customers cos the tables are too low (though I hate that)

I'll miss the storeroom cos they're removing it completely; they decided to take away out little private area in the storeroom during our breaks, the place where we can get so comfy in..

I'll miss the orange walls if they decided to change it to blue since all other stores are blue-based. I personally preferred orange cos it's bright and happy, makes me happy there too.

I'll miss the big counter which we can fit up to ten people, all squeezed together (though we never tried that before but the new counter gonna be able to fit a few people only? I don't know.)

Basically, I'll miss the old KAP.

Goodbye, the oh-so-familiar KAP.

A little gesture

This little boy who sat in front of me in the bus today resembles very much like Samuel. His built, his complexion, his cheeks, his eyes.. everything's the same except for the hair..

Reminds me of the "ah pui 叫姐姐" extreme cuteness of Samuel.

The little boy looked at me a handful of times.

I smiled at him.

He bashfully looked away.

He is a very curious boy, observing the surroundings quietly while his elder sister (at least ten years older) fell asleep beside him.

Before he recognize the place to alight soon, he hurriedly got into his sister's arms, getting ready to press the bell behind his sister.

He alighted with his mum and his sister.. I awed at the fact that how nice it is to have a younger four year old brother to look after.

I kept looking at him, even though he's already outside.

He saw me looking at him.

He waved goodbye to me.

I waved back.

I smiled throughout the rest of my journey. I smiled at his sweetness.

He made my day.

Kan Cheong Lah

Sian. I don't like the feeling of having to feel nervous all over again. If Ms Loo did not vomit on Tuesday, I would have rejoiced at the fact that I'm over and done with.

Hell, I'm not feeling very well. Mardiana is having her VIVA over at next door and I'm having mine after hers. Yesterday I had gastric pains on my way home from Chen's house and I was praying my stomach won't reject food when I reached home: I gotta eat my dinner.

Yeap, it did not reject food but when it's 3am and I'm going to sleep, I went to brush my teeth.

Brush, brush, brush, brush, brush..

*VOMITS*

Out comes my stomach acid (I think, cos it tasted sour) from my mouth.

Just half an hour away from my presentation and I'm nervous as hell. So nervous my stomach start to ache and stuff. ROAR.

I'm Rain's Baby

Time for me to do some updates with images.

I shall start with the latest event that had took placed on 21st January.

21st January 2007

RAIN's CONCERT!

Had been anticipating this day since year 2006 and it finally came! Was very worried about Rain because he injured himself during the HK concert. He was hurting so badly he couldn't even continue dancing.

Nonetheless, the concert wasn't canceled and he really did a superb job during the concert!

Rain is so so so so so so cute lah! And irresistibly sweet. I'm not saying this concert costs a bomb, I'm saying this cos he is seriously so nice :)

There's this part he went like "I've always wanted to say this to my girlfriend but I never got the chance to: You're my baby. From tonight, all of you are my babies.."

"My babies, the next song is for you!"

SO SWEET CAN!

I know I know, I'm sharing Rain with 248576353049584 other people but he's so sweet.

BTW, he speaks good English, in case any of you is wondering.

Also, there's this part which he was back facing us, while "kissing" one of the female dancers. Of cos crazy fans (I'm not afraid to admit) went totally crazy cos *(^%*&$%#*(#*% how can he kiss her?! Then Rain cheekily turn back and showed us the "jealous-right" face. Cannot stand his cuteness lor!

I thought he had fully recovered from his injury but NO, he actually still hurts from it, yet he still break dance for us! You know, he did hand stand or some sort, which after that, his right hand went to felt his left arm, cos it was hurting...

Definitely very heart aching :/

Anyway, here are some good photos from the concert taken by my humble 2.0megapixel Sony Ericsson k750i:

A photo "with" Rain before the concert.

The huge stage with many screens.

I can't remember which song this was but anyway, it's part of the concert.

The part where "rain" falls on Rain for the emotional song he sang. I know this photo quality is :/

Drunken fist dance. CUTE!

One of the very last parts with the wings like his Rain's World album cover. It's innovative for them to use the screens as the wings rather than making wings.

I enjoyed the concert thoroughly :) Many thanks to VE people who fork out the money to top up the rest of the concert ticket for my birthday :D Love you people!

13th January 2007

Chen Chen
's birthday! Anyway, 6th Stories went out to hunt for our heels for VIVA. Didn't really celebrate for Chen but hope she's not disappointed since it's her 20th birthday. She had our company though :P

Ate Muthu's Curry for lunch! Know why we even went in? Wenna said when she walked past that restaurant last time, she felt I'll like it. But anyway, the reason to why we went in is simple: if the curry is not good enough, the boss wouldn't even have opened a Curry restaurant, so we went in.

I think the food is NICE! Furthermore, I think they earn quite alot? They take orders using PDA leh!

I simply love their mango juice, very rich in mango and not too sweet!

We ate this dessert which milk dumplings are fried and then placed in syrup. Sounds sweet right? INDEED. When it came, I just split the milk dumpling into half (like still a spoonful) and pop it in my mouth..

!!!!! It was terribly sweet that I wrinkled my face!

I love their spoon too! Not too big, not too small, and the curves of the spoon are made nicely that my mouth felt pampered when using it :X

After that, I went to meet my secondary school clique for the alumni band concert. The concert wasn't very well done but the most pissed off part was some people just don't understand the word: FREE SEATING.

My clique arrived late for the concert and only found three seats when there's five of us, so two sat on the stairs instead. When it's interval, obviously we try to find better seats which we can sit together right?

I mean, it's free seating what..

So I saw this empty row before I went to toilet and my clique occupied it.

Horror horror, the people who previously sat on the seats came back.

Nevermind, free seating, just ignore them.

"Excuse me, we were sitting here previously, can we have our seats back?"

That guy kept talking to us, then Peng went like "free seating."

"She said it's free seating that's why they're here", says the guy to his friend.

Dumbly, he asked us "Were you guys from downstairs?"

Meaning if we went up to occupy the better and more expensive seats..

WTF man.

Nevermind, we continued to ignore him.

"Do you mind we have our seats back?"

"Do you mind?"

"Do you mind?"

He kept saying that.

So irritating.

Zi Qian was so afraid we offend them she went like "hey.. you all wanna go?"

Then we had to let go of the seats.

Darn, if we had been persistent, we would have gotten nice and comfy seats cos the interval ends one minute after we left the seats.

We went back to our original seats and this middle aged usher came saying nobody can sit at the stairs cos of the fire exit.

FUNNY. Like we wouldn't run when there's fire like that.

He didn't even help to allocate seats for Peng and Shu Mei so the both of them went out of the concert hall.

Thanks arh. Our beautiful evening spoilt.

Anyway, it's so funny how some photos can bring back laughter to you..

Look at this photo.

Okay, the main focus of the photo isn't the beansprout-like mayonnaise on my burger which I was going to enjoy, it's the story behind it.

As usual, I ordered plain McSpicy because I don't like raw cabbage. So, I tried to squeeze mayonnaise on my burger like I always do, but this time, I tried to squeeze it out from the superbly small hole I managed to make out of the packet.

Needless to say, there was flying mayonnaise and it landed on Silvirin's shirt!

I tell you, there was more mayonnaise on her shirt than on my burger can!

And plenty of laughter after that :P

BTW, please pray hard for me that Ms Susie Loo won't vomit again before my VIVA this Friday :/

"and you better stop eating MAC.."

"..cos everytime I come, you always eat that", says a regular male customer of my age.

Argh.....

It just happens that when he visits and when I'm working that day, I happen to eat MAC ah.

That customer is very health conscious and he thinks MAC is very very unhealthy.

He caught me take away MAC when I enter the store and he was inside.

"and you've been MIA for quite some time."

!!!!!!!!!!

This means, it's just so coincident that he visits today and I'm working and happen to eat MAC and let him see!

ROAR.

Agus: So, Kai Ling, is your VIVA over?

Kai Ling: (-_-; inside her heart) Nope.

Agus: OH YA HOR! Your VIVA is next week and I'm your second marker!

Totally -_-;

ME: "Er, do you want to get another 3 catalogue DVDs because it's Wednesday special and you can rent 5 CAT DVDs for $20.."

Customer: "Actually nevermind, cos I don't have any more shows in mind. Maybe you want to recommend me some?"

ME: "Hmmmm.. Maybe next time?"

Ida: (bursts into laughter) "How can you say that to him?!"

ME: "We busy mah..." (thinks of the new stocks that came and haven't keyed in)

Thank god that customer didn't mind me saying that, cos supposedly he should be the one saying maybe next time if I were to tell him I could recommend some..

Time to relax first

Went for mahjong session at Kai Ling's crib today. First time play with Chen Chen.

My luck was not bad leh, but I didn't dare to go higher. I won quite alot in the first round when we played 10c/20c, then Lewis wanted to play 20c/40c but I don't want cos I know if I win alot first, I will definitely lose more at the end, and vice versa.

But in the end, I won the most.

ANYWAY, let me show you my very nice tiles which I won for both rounds.

See that set of animals?! FULL HOUSE leh! That's damn lucky. Already so full liao yet I had whiteboard, and half-color!

Which is like eight tais liao.

And another..

Ping hu.

I know nothing much cos everybody had won lidat before but please take closer look..

678 678 678 678 44

How rare is that?

HEHE.

9th January 2007

I went for work at VE Jurong West
.

You know, I suspect the people at JW loves BIG stuff.

Their calculators are sooooo big.

And recently, their phone spoil too.

Their new phone is also so big lah! I mean the number pad. It's such a hassle to dial one number after one another cos your finger have to go another distance just to finish dialing!

Anyway, remember Singapore Idol Season Two COWBOY?

I mean one of the guys who's memorable enough like the first season's Banana Man.

Well, he is one of the customers at JW and I heard he's weird? Or maybe mentality low?

He kept borrowing this movie, you know.

So nice arh?

BTW, if I'm him, I believe I'll burn the whole disc.

Then again, he might not know or might not have the device to burn.

8th January 2007

REPORT SUBMITTED!!

VIVA schedule out! Agus is my second marker!

I hope he's not too mad about me forgetting the Mr. at the beginning of his name.

Abit of sore throat due to KFC the day before.

TEEHEEHEE. 6th Storeys went shopping at Vivocity for formal wear and had fun! It's been a longgggggggggg time since I went shopping :)

7th January 2007

Went to Chen Chen's house to print our report. We've got a clan name: 6th Storeys!

It happens that me, Kai Ling, Wenna and Chen Chen all live on the 6th floor. Heh. Hence the name.

Spent $160 on ink and we printed sooooooo much!

Geez. Scary. But it's cheap lah. Around $35/person for two coloured sets :)

It'll be over soon..

Reports are dead boring!

But of cos, I'll still have to finish it.

I can't believe my first blog entry of 2007 is actually about report.

Anyway, I'm left with last three parts of the report and I'm here blogging not cos I have confident I can finish the last three parts fast but it's quite sian to see my blog dying on 2006 recaps. I just gotta do something about it.

My viva falls on a 23rd, and it's on a Tuesday! I love tuesdays :)

What's left to do after the completion of the report is to adjust the resolution of our final video, make a process video and prepare a powerpoint presentation!

Oh dear, I just realised that's quite alot to do also leh. SIAN.

Guess where's the venue of my presention?

INCUBATION LAB.

That's such a weird location.

GOOD LUCK TO THOSE STILL CHIONGING PROJECTS/REPORTS! SOON IT'LL BE OVER! SOON~!
